THE CHRONIC CEO ETHICAL AI USAGE POLICY

THE CHRONIC CEO ETHICAL AI USAGE POLICY

1. Introduction

The Chronic CEO is a strategy, coaching and education brand built for chronically ill, disabled, and capacity-limited entrepreneurs. This policy outlines how AI tools are used in this business, in content creation, client-facing work, operational systems, and education programs.

If you're a client, student, collaborator, or someone who follows this work, this policy is for you. It explains what AI does here, what it doesn't do, and what protections are in place for you and your information.

This is not legal advice, it’s a transparency document.

2. Purpose

Running a business with a chronic illness means working with constraints that most business frameworks ignore. AI tools are part of how The Chronic CEO stays operational without burning out the person running it.

AI reduces the cognitive and physical overhead of content production, systems management, and administrative work, which means more capacity for the high-touch, human-centered parts of this work.

But AI is also a tool that can replicate bias, produce inaccurate information, and cut corners in ways that harm people. Using it without thinking about that isn't a neutral choice. This policy exists because using AI carelessly is a values problem, not just a quality control problem.

3. Core Principles

People first, tools second. AI does not make decisions about clients, program participants, or anyone's access to support. Those decisions involve humans, and the person most impacted always has the right to ask questions and get real answers.

Transparency over optics. If AI meaningfully contributed to a piece of content, a resource, or a deliverable, that will be disclosed on request. The goal isn't to perform a stance on AI, it's to be honest about how this business actually works.

Human oversight on everything. AI drafts, humans edit, review, and take responsibility for what goes out. That applies to social content, client resources, course materials, and anything else produced under The Chronic CEO name.

Your data doesn't go into AI tools without your written consent. Client information, private details, and sensitive materials are not used with AI tools. If you're a client and you're not sure how your information is handled, you can ask.

Bias gets corrected, not ignored. AI outputs reflect the data they were trained on, which means they can and do replicate bias. Content is reviewed with that in mind and corrected before it goes anywhere.

4. Acceptable Use

AI is used at The Chronic CEO for:

Drafting and refining written content, including social posts, emails, course materials, and templates

Supporting operational systems and internal workflow organization

Reducing administrative load so that human time and energy can go toward client-facing work

Generating outlines, frameworks, or first drafts that are then substantially edited and reviewed

Accessibility-supporting tasks like caption drafts and alt-text drafts, with human review before use

5. Prohibited Use

AI is not used at The Chronic CEO:

To produce content that mimics, appropriates, or misrepresents the voices, experiences, or creative work of disabled or chronically ill people

To generate deceptive, manipulative, or discriminatory content of any kind

To provide medical, legal, financial, or clinical advice, to clients or in public-facing content

To pressure, persuade, or manufacture urgency in sales or marketing materials

To make decisions about client access, eligibility, or participation in any program or offer

In any way that contradicts the values, consent standards, or client agreements of this business

6. Data and Privacy

Personal information shared in a client context, including intake forms, session notes, and private communications, is not used with AI tools.

7. Disclosure and Transparency

AI is used openly in this business. If you want to know whether AI contributed to a specific piece of content or resource, you can ask and you'll get a straight answer.

The Chronic CEO also encourages clients, collaborators, and community members to develop and publish their own AI use policies, particularly when working in spaces that serve disabled and chronically ill people.

8. Accountability and Reporting

If you have a concern about how AI is being used in connection with The Chronic CEO, including a piece of content, a client interaction, or a resource, you can raise it directly.

Concerns can be submitted through the contact form at thechronicceo.co or by emailing rheanna@thechronicceo.co. Reports are handled with care, taken seriously, and responded to without dismissiveness or retaliation.

9. Review Cycle

AI tools evolve quickly. This policy will be reviewed regularly and updated to reflect best practices in accessibility, technology, privacy, and client protection.

10. Closing

By working with The Chronic CEO as a client, student, collaborator, or community member, you can expect AI to be used in line with this policy. The commitment is to use these tools transparently, responsibly, and in ways that respect the people this business exists to serve.

11. Connection to Other Agreements
